This assessment asked for a conceptual series of three or more studio images. The guidelines required that two bodies - mine and a classmate's - must be in the frame.
As a project that must feature two bodies, I felt that it was only appropriate to investigate the idea of physical relations and interactions. 'Push' was influenced by Surrealist fashion photography and Cubism. I was interested in the body's forms, and personal physicalities and natural movement of and between individuals. This series explores tension, balance, pressure, and physical strength.
